  DEVELOPING STORY: Man Found Unconscious After Allegedly Throwing Children From Storey Building in Aba A man was reportedly found unconscious but still breathing after allegedly falling from a storey building at New Phase of Umuobe by Barracks, Opobo Road, Obignwa, Abia State. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has caused panic among residents of the area. Eyewitnesses told Magic FM Aba that the man allegedly threw two of his children from the building before attempting to throw down his wife. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. The two children were reportedly rushed to a hospital for medical attention. As of the time of filing this report, Magic FM Aba could not independently confirm their condition or whether they survived the fall. The man, who sustained an injury to the head, was still lying in front of his house and had yet to receive assistance as of the time of this report.  Police Confirm Abduction Of Journalist In Kaduna


The Kaduna State Police Command has confirmed the kidnapping of veteran photojournalist, Umar Usman, in Chikun Local Government Area of the state.


The command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Mansir Hassan, disclosed this to the News Agency of Nigeria on Tuesday in Kaduna, noting that security operatives have begun efforts to rescue the victim.


According to Hassan, Usman was abducted around 9:00 p.m. on Monday by suspected bandits at Danhonu II community in Millennium City, an incident that has heightened fear among residents.


“We are doing everything possible to ensure his safe rescue,” the police spokesperson said.


Usman, a retired staff member of Africa Independent Television, Kaduna Station, and a former employee of the Nigerian Television Authority in Kaduna, was reportedly taken from his residence during the attack.


Hassan added that the Commissioner of Police, Rabiu Muhammad, promptly deployed a team of operatives to track down the kidnappers and secure the journalist’s release. 


He also urged members of the public to provide credible information that could assist the ongoing rescue operation.
