Yemen fighting pushes nearly 3,000 to Djibouti in less than a week: UN    Nearly 3,000 people have fled Yemen for Djibouti in less than a week as escalating violence drives growing displacement within the country and across its borders, the UN refugee agency said Friday. “Refugees continue to arrive by boat through Obock, Khor Angar, Moulhoule and Godoria after difficult journeys in small vessels,” UNHCR representative in Djibouti Sandrine Desamours told reporters in Geneva, Anadolu Agency reported. More than half of those crossing the Bab el-Mandeb Strait are women and children, while some families have been displaced for a second time after previously fleeing Yemen during the 2015 crisis and later returning. UNHCR is preparing for at least 10,000 new arrivals but warned that capacity is rapidly diminishing.  Popular netizen and social media influencer, Ruth, has made a video declaring her stance against the baby mama culture, calling it an act of madness. 


In the video, Ruth says that even if Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, or award-winning singer, Wizkid, approaches her to have a child for them and be her baby daddy, she will still turn them down since none of them is her legal husband.

"Nigerian girls, we have to put an end to this babymama madness. If a man is not your husband, please don’t get pregnant for him", she said.

"Like me, even if Wizkid or Aliko Dangote comes tomorrow and tells me he wants me to have a child for him, the first question I’ll ask is, 'Are you my husband?' If he says no, then there is nothing like having a child for him.

"It is time for us to be very stingy with our bodies. Men will not want to marry a baby mama, trust me. Most Nigerian men do not want to end up marrying a baby mama, so why put yourself in that situation? No ring, no baby. If you’re not his wife, don’t have a child for him...", she further stated.

Ruth made this video to weigh in on, and give her own opinion concerning the ongoing saga between skit maker and streamer, Cater Efe and his influencer babymama Emmanuella.
