Trump issues pardon to former Republican congressman Stephen Buyer after insider trading conviction    President Donald Trump has issued a full pardon to former Republican congressman Stephen Buyer, who served nearly two years in prison after being convicted of insider trading tied to post-congressional consulting work. Buyer was sentenced in 2023 to 22 months in prison for illegal stock trades made while working as a consultant and lobbyist. He was ordered to forfeit more than $350,000 in ill-gotten gains and pay a $10,000 fine. He was released from custody in 2025 after his conviction was upheld, with the Supreme Court declining to take up his appeal earlier this year.  Popular netizen and social media influencer, Ruth, has made a video declaring her stance against the baby mama culture, calling it an act of madness. 


In the video, Ruth says that even if Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, or award-winning singer, Wizkid, approaches her to have a child for them and be her baby daddy, she will still turn them down since none of them is her legal husband.

"Nigerian girls, we have to put an end to this babymama madness. If a man is not your husband, please don’t get pregnant for him", she said.

"Like me, even if Wizkid or Aliko Dangote comes tomorrow and tells me he wants me to have a child for him, the first question I’ll ask is, 'Are you my husband?' If he says no, then there is nothing like having a child for him.

"It is time for us to be very stingy with our bodies. Men will not want to marry a baby mama, trust me. Most Nigerian men do not want to end up marrying a baby mama, so why put yourself in that situation? No ring, no baby. If you’re not his wife, don’t have a child for him...", she further stated.

Ruth made this video to weigh in on, and give her own opinion concerning the ongoing saga between skit maker and streamer, Cater Efe and his influencer babymama Emmanuella.
