 Setting the Records Straight on  Citizen Asar Michael Sesugh's  Death The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,  EFCC,  considered it imperative to clear the air on some recent incidents at its Makurdi Zonal Directorate,  Benue State.   Operatives of the Directorate arrested 26 suspected cyber fraudsters on April 28,  2026.  They were profiled and kept in custody for further investigations after obtaining a Remand Order at a Magistrate Court.  Shortly after their arrest,  specifically on May 4,  2026,  three of the suspects sought permission to use the lavatory at the Directorate's  Holding Facility and were permitted.   They cashed in on the opportunity,  broke the toilet's roof and escaped from detention.  Several efforts were made to re- arrest them to no avail.  SENATE SETS DATE FOR PASSAGE OF 2026 BUDGET


The Senate Committee on Appropriations says it is looking at the possibility of passing the 2026 budget in the third week of March.


At a special  meeting to outline legislative timeline of procedure on the budget, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Appropriations, Senator Adeola Solomon  Olamilekan said, to ensure meticulous scrutiny, hard copies of the budget have been printed for the Chairmen of the standing committees.


 He added that budget defence engagements will hold between February 2nd and 13th 2026.


The committee equally has a plan to convene   an interactive session with key stakeholders, on February 9th with the theme, FROM BUDGET TO IMPACT, STRENGHTENING THE MICRO ECONOMIC STABILITY, ACCELERATING INFRASTRUCTURAL DELIVERY AND IMPROVING SECURITY THROUGH FISCAL DISCIPLINE AND EFFECTIVE IMPLEMENTATION OF 2026 BUDGET.


 The committee  hopes to meet with Federal Governments economic team on March 5th 2026 for a final look at all projections and adjustments before submission of the budget report at plenary for adoption and passage.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
