 Setting the Records Straight on  Citizen Asar Michael Sesugh's  Death The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,  EFCC,  considered it imperative to clear the air on some recent incidents at its Makurdi Zonal Directorate,  Benue State.   Operatives of the Directorate arrested 26 suspected cyber fraudsters on April 28,  2026.  They were profiled and kept in custody for further investigations after obtaining a Remand Order at a Magistrate Court.  Shortly after their arrest,  specifically on May 4,  2026,  three of the suspects sought permission to use the lavatory at the Directorate's  Holding Facility and were permitted.   They cashed in on the opportunity,  broke the toilet's roof and escaped from detention.  Several efforts were made to re- arrest them to no avail. SUSPECTED BANDITS ATTACK OYO STATE NATIONAL PARK SERVICE OFFICE, FIVE FOREST GUARDS KILLED 


No fewer than five forest guards of the National Park Service office in Oloka, Oriire local government area of Oyo State have been allegedly killed by suspected bandits who attacked the park on Tuesday


Confirming the incident to NTA News via a telephone call, Oyo State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ayanlade Olayinka says the state Commissioner of Police, Femi Haruna alongside other service chiefs are on their way to the affected area to assess the situation firsthand 


He adds that the state commissioner of Police has also ordered the immediate deployment of tactical teams, officers of the Mobile Police Force and the Explosive Ordinance Disposal unit of the Nigeria Police Force to the area 


Assuring members of the Public that security agencies are on top of the situation, DSP Olayinka promises to give updates on the incident
