 PRESS RELEASE OPERATION HADIN KAI FOILS MASS ABDUCTION ATTEMPT AT FGGC MONGUNO Troops of Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), in collaboration with personnel of the Nigeria Police Mobile Force (MOPOL), successfully foiled an attempted mass abduction by ISWAP terrorists at the Federal Government Girls College (FGGC), Monguno, at about 0130 hours (1:30 a.m.) on 19 July 2026. The FGGC facility is currently being utilized by the Borno State Government as temporary hostel accommodation for students of the Federal Polytechnic, Monguno. The terrorists reportedly gained access to the facility with the assistance of suspected collaborators in an attempt to abduct students. Alert security personnel immediately engaged the terrorists with coordinated and overwhelming firepower, effectively stalling their advance with Sector 3 Quick Reaction Force (QRF) immediately reinforcing the school. SUSPECTED BANDITS ATTACK OYO STATE NATIONAL PARK SERVICE OFFICE, FIVE FOREST GUARDS KILLED 


No fewer than five forest guards of the National Park Service office in Oloka, Oriire local government area of Oyo State have been allegedly killed by suspected bandits who attacked the park on Tuesday


Confirming the incident to NTA News via a telephone call, Oyo State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ayanlade Olayinka says the state Commissioner of Police, Femi Haruna alongside other service chiefs are on their way to the affected area to assess the situation firsthand 


He adds that the state commissioner of Police has also ordered the immediate deployment of tactical teams, officers of the Mobile Police Force and the Explosive Ordinance Disposal unit of the Nigeria Police Force to the area 


Assuring members of the Public that security agencies are on top of the situation, DSP Olayinka promises to give updates on the incident
