 NDC STATEMENT ON COURT RULING Our attention has been drawn to a ruling by the Federal High Court sitting in Lokoja this morning, wherein His Lordship, Honourable Justice Isah Dashen, gave a ruling on an application filed by an unregistered association known as Peace Movement Party. The public knows that by December 2025, the Nigeria Democratic Congress  as an association complained of INEC’s refusal to register us as a political party, whereupon we proceeded to the Federal High Court. The Federal High Court upheld our constitutional right to freedom of association under the Constitution and compelled INEC to register us, which INEC did. Since then, we have started political activities, embarked on the registration of members, held congresses from ward to national levels, held conventions, and concluded primaries to all offices following INEC’s timetable. SUSPECTED BANDITS ATTACK OYO STATE NATIONAL PARK SERVICE OFFICE, FIVE FOREST GUARDS KILLED 


No fewer than five forest guards of the National Park Service office in Oloka, Oriire local government area of Oyo State have been allegedly killed by suspected bandits who attacked the park on Tuesday


Confirming the incident to NTA News via a telephone call, Oyo State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ayanlade Olayinka says the state Commissioner of Police, Femi Haruna alongside other service chiefs are on their way to the affected area to assess the situation firsthand 


He adds that the state commissioner of Police has also ordered the immediate deployment of tactical teams, officers of the Mobile Police Force and the Explosive Ordinance Disposal unit of the Nigeria Police Force to the area 


Assuring members of the Public that security agencies are on top of the situation, DSP Olayinka promises to give updates on the incident
