 Nicole Kidman recalls the heartbreaking moment she found out her mom died Nicole Kidman has opened up about the heartbreaking moment she learned of her mother Janelle’s death just as she was about to accept a best actress award at the Venice International Film Festival.  The Babygirl star recalled being backstage when she received the news, saying she returned to her room “completely devastated” and unsure how she would move forward without her mother, who had been such a central part of her life. She described the “harrowing” attempt to leave Venice in the middle of the night to return to Australia, only to turn back, overwhelmed and alone.  Director Halina Reijn later read a statement on Kidman’s behalf, dedicating the award to Janelle and acknowledging the collision of art and life in that painful moment. The Abia State Government has noted with interest the statement attributed to the Senator representing Abia North Senatorial Zone, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, vowing to capture and deliver the Abia State Government House to his party, the Abia APC in the 2027 General Election. 



While acknowledging Senator Kalu's entitlement to project and support his younger brother as the Abia APC gubernatorial candidate in the 2027 general election, he must be reminded that the people of Abia will decide who governs them as they won't be swayed by attempts to turn the State into a family fiefdom where a single man and family wants to retain and produce a Senator, a Governor, Commissioner representing Abia State in the National Assembly Service Commission and an Ambassador.


As the ruling party in Abia State, our great party, the Labour Party has over 3 strong, vibrant and prepared aspirants ready to contest for the ticket to represent Abia North Senatorial Zone in the Red Chamber of the National Assembly.
