The people of Umueri Village, Ogbunike, in Oyi Local Government Area, have staged a peaceful protest, calling on the Anambra State Government to intervene in the recent crisis allegedly caused by the sale of their communal land and the brutalisation of villagers by a former chairman, Mr. Levi Elobisi, his supporters, and the village security.
