 LAGOS OEQA PRESENTS APPROVAL LETTERS TO 76 PRIVATE SCHOOLS … As Commissioner Charges School Owners to Remain Law-Abiding The Lagos State Office of Education Quality Assurance (OEQA) has presented approval letters to 76 private schools that met the State Government’s guidelines for the establishment and operation of private educational institutions. The presentation ceremony, which marked Batch 1 of the 2026 approval exercise, was held on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at the Education Resource Centre, Ojodu. Presenting the approval letters to the beneficiaries, the Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Mr. Jamiu Tolani Alli-Balogun, charged the newly approved school owners to remain law-abiding and strictly adhere to all laws, rules, and directives guiding school operations in Lagos State. UNNATURAL OFFENCE: POLICE BURST TWO-MAN HOMOSEXUAL SYNDICATE, RESCUE TWO MINORS IN TILDEN FULANI


On 8th January 2026 at about 2130hrs, a concerned father reported at the Divisional Police Headquarters, Tilden Fulani, that his son (name withheld), aged 8yrs, was deceitfully lured with sweets and tiger nuts by one Mohammed Saifullahi, 'm' aged 16, who subsequently had homosexual intercourse with him on multiple occasions.


Upon receipt of the report, a team of detectives was quickly dispatched to the scene. The suspect was arrested, and the victim was moved to the hospital for medical examination.


During interrogation, the suspect confessed to having been engaged in the act for over three years and named his mentor as one Shaibu Sulaiman, 'm' aged 17.


Preliminary investigation discovered that the suspect was introduced into the homosexual activity by Shuaibu Sulaiman, aged 17, who was also arrested. Sulaiman revealed that his first time of committing this act resulted from sharing a two-in-one bed with a friend, specifically Saifullahi Mohammed, which involved into the act.


It was also discovered that the first suspect, Saifullahi Mohammed, had sexually violated four minors between the ages of 7 and 10.


Consequently, all the arrested suspects have confessed their culpability. Investigation is underway, after which the suspects will be profiled and charged to court upon completion.


The Commissioner of Police, Bauchi State Command, CP Sani-Omolori Aliyu psc(+), mni, is miffed by this unfortunate act and warns other like-minded individuals to repent from such behavior, as anyone arrested under such circumstances will not be spared. He also calls on parents and guardians to be inquisitive about the whereabouts of their wards.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”.
