Trump issues pardon to former Republican congressman Stephen Buyer after insider trading conviction    President Donald Trump has issued a full pardon to former Republican congressman Stephen Buyer, who served nearly two years in prison after being convicted of insider trading tied to post-congressional consulting work. Buyer was sentenced in 2023 to 22 months in prison for illegal stock trades made while working as a consultant and lobbyist. He was ordered to forfeit more than $350,000 in ill-gotten gains and pay a $10,000 fine. He was released from custody in 2025 after his conviction was upheld, with the Supreme Court declining to take up his appeal earlier this year.  Teyana Taylor made history at the 2026 Golden Globes by becoming the first star to be censored during their acceptance speech. The 35-year-old actress won Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role for her role in "One Battle After Another," receiving the first award of the night. Her audio was temporarily cut after she used a curse word while referring to how heavy the golden statuette was.


Taylor began to cry as she took the stage, with her fellow nominees all applauding for her. Beyond the censored moment, she delivered a heartfelt speech that included a joke about her children watching from upstairs at the Beverly Hilton. She concluded with a powerful message to brown sisters and little brown girls watching, saying "Our softness is not a liability. Our depth is not too much. Our light does not need permission to shine. We belong in every room we walk into. Our voices matter, and our dreams deserve space."
