Yemen fighting pushes nearly 3,000 to Djibouti in less than a week: UN    Nearly 3,000 people have fled Yemen for Djibouti in less than a week as escalating violence drives growing displacement within the country and across its borders, the UN refugee agency said Friday. “Refugees continue to arrive by boat through Obock, Khor Angar, Moulhoule and Godoria after difficult journeys in small vessels,” UNHCR representative in Djibouti Sandrine Desamours told reporters in Geneva, Anadolu Agency reported. More than half of those crossing the Bab el-Mandeb Strait are women and children, while some families have been displaced for a second time after previously fleeing Yemen during the 2015 crisis and later returning. UNHCR is preparing for at least 10,000 new arrivals but warned that capacity is rapidly diminishing.  Teyana Taylor made history at the 2026 Golden Globes by becoming the first star to be censored during their acceptance speech. The 35-year-old actress won Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role for her role in "One Battle After Another," receiving the first award of the night. Her audio was temporarily cut after she used a curse word while referring to how heavy the golden statuette was.


Taylor began to cry as she took the stage, with her fellow nominees all applauding for her. Beyond the censored moment, she delivered a heartfelt speech that included a joke about her children watching from upstairs at the Beverly Hilton. She concluded with a powerful message to brown sisters and little brown girls watching, saying "Our softness is not a liability. Our depth is not too much. Our light does not need permission to shine. We belong in every room we walk into. Our voices matter, and our dreams deserve space."
