 Texas man arrested with 75 pounds of marijuana in luggage while flying to London, police say A Texas man was arrested at Miami International Airport after authorities found 75 pounds of marijuana in his luggage before he could board a flight to London. Harrison O’Neill Tiernan, 23, from Austin, was charged with cannabis trafficking. He was traveling to Heathrow Airport and had checked two suitcases for his British Airways flight. Inspectors discovered 65 vacuum-sealed packages containing a green, leafy substance later confirmed to be marijuana. U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers stopped Tiernan while he attempted to board the flight, and he acknowledged that the bags were his. Authorities noted the inspections were part of broader efforts at the airport due to high outbound narcotics activity. In total, Tiernan was carrying 34.01 kilograms, or 74.98 pounds, of marijuana.  Zangon Kataf Council Announces Death Of Former Chairman, Hon. Francis Sani Zimbo


The Zangon Kataf Local Government Council has announced the death of Hon. Francis Sani Amgwa, popularly known as Zimbo, the immediate past Chairman of the Council and Special Adviser to the Kaduna State Governor on Industrial Training.


Zimbo reportedly passed away after a period of illness. 


Until his death, he served as a key aide to the Executive Governor of Kaduna State, contributing to policies and initiatives in the area of industrial training and human capital development.


During his tenure as Chairman of Zangon Kataf Local Government, Hon. Amgwa was widely credited with driving developmental initiatives, strengthening community relations, and promoting peace across the various communities within the local government area. 


He was known for his grassroots engagement, political commitment, and dedication to public service.


Described as a bridge-builder and a leader deeply connected to the people, Hon. Amgwa earned widespread respect for his passion for empowerment and his ability to relate with ordinary citizens. 


Many community members and political associates have described his passing as a significant loss to Zangon Kataf Local Government, Southern Kaduna, and Kaduna State at large.


The Council extended its condolences to the deceased’s family, friends, political associates, and the government and people of Kaduna State.


Funeral arrangements, according to the Council, will be announced at a later date.


Hon. Francis Sani Amgwa is survived by family members and leaves behind a legacy of service and commitment to community development.
