 Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country.  17 arraigned in Lagos court for urinating and defecating in public places


The Lagos state police command today February 19, arraigned 17 environmental offenders before the Magistrate Court sitting at Bolade, Oshodi, for urinating and defecating in public places.


The state Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, who disclosed this on X, who disclosed this on X, said the court found the defendants guilty and sentenced each offender to pay a fine of N40,000 or serve one month imprisonment.


‘’Let this serve as a clear reminder that open urination and defecation are environmental offences and serious public health risks. Lagos State will continue to enforce sanitation laws firmly to protect public health, preserve human dignity and maintain order in our communities.


We urge residents to make use of available public sanitation facilities and comply with environmental regulations. Cleanliness is a shared responsibility.’’ Wahab wrote
