Wike taking loans for FCT without National Assembly approval – Kingibe alleges The senator representing the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Ireti Kingibe, has alleged that the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, has been taking loans for the nation’s capital without the approval of the National Assembly. Kingibe made the allegation on Tuesday during an interview. She was discussing the FCT administration, the Abuja master plan and the oversight responsibilities of the National Assembly.  In a statement shared on Instagram (which she reposted to her Stories on February 16, 2026), she clarified that claims suggesting she was removed from any school are not accurate. She emphasized that such narratives have escalated unnecessarily and affirmed her character by stating she is not someone who engages in that kind of behavior.


Apple noted that she recognizes not everyone may have positive views of her, which is understandable in online spaces where opinions vary freely. She stressed that these particular assertions are unfounded, and those familiar with her know her true nature. No supporting evidence has emerged for the rumors, and her response focuses on setting the record straight in a straightforward way.
