 Abia Governor Otti Approves First Phase of Medical Bills for Veteran Actress Ngozi Nwosu Abia State Governor Dr. Alex Otti has approved payment for the first phase of medical bills for Abia-born Nollywood veteran Ngozi Nwosu as she continues to battle health challenges. The intervention was announced by Dr. Justice Okey Martins (popularly known as JMartins), Senior Special Assistant on Tourism and Entertainment to the Governor. Martins expressed gratitude to Otti for the timely support and appealed to Nigerians to continue assisting the actress. According to Martins, the Governor’s approval covers only the initial portion of Nwosu’s medical expenses. Further financial assistance remains necessary to ensure she receives the full care required.  ARIK AIR DIVERTS SAFELY TO BENIN FOLLOWING ENGINE ANOMALY


Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau NSIB has commenced an investigation into the air accident involving arik air's boeing 737 aircraft which diverted to Benin airport due to an engine anomaly while flying from Lagos to Port Harcourt Wednesday morning, 11 of February 2026. 


NSIB says during the cruise phase of flight the crew detected abnormal indications on one of the engines, the crew then shut down the affected engine and landed safely. No injury was recorded.


While an investigation is ongoing in to the issue, NSIB says a preliminary report will be issued within 30 days in accordance with international civil aviation authority icao provisions.
