 TRAGEDY ON MAKURDI-ALIADE ROAD CRASH KILLS DOZENS OF COWS, SEVERAL INJURED  A serious accident early Monday morning has left dozens of cows dead and several people injured along Jato Daula, Makurdi-Aliade Road. The incident occurred around 5 a.m., authorities confirmed. Eyewitnesses said the accident involved a vehicle that reportedly lost control. The crash resulted in significant livestock casualties, though human injuries were also reported. Emergency responders and local authorities have urged drivers to exercise caution, especially on rural roads during early hours. The exact number of injured individuals is still being confirmed, and investigations are ongoing to determine the full extent of the accident. Residents have called for better road safety measures to prevent such incidents in the future.

 Bandits abduct Chief Imam’s wives, daughters and other family members in Bauchi


Suspected bandits have abducted the family of the Chief Imam of Jama’atu Izalatil Bid’ah Wa Ikamatis Sunnah (JIBWIS), Abubakar Muhammad Digare, in Bauchi State.

 

 

The incident occurred on Saturday night, February 14, 2026 in Digare town, Gwana District, Alkaleri Local Government Area of the state,

 

 

Security analyst, Bakatsine, who disclosed this on Sunday said local sources stated that assailants invaded the Imam’s residence and forcibly abducted several people, including the Imam’s wives and daughters. 

 

“Last night, suspected bandits launched a brazen nighttime attack in the residence of Imam Abubakar Muhammad Digare, Chief Imam of JIBWIS in Digare town, abducting several people, including his wives and daughters. The attackers reportedly stormed the home under the cover of darkness, forcefully taking multiple victims to an unknown destination,” Bakatsine wrote. 

 

“The shocking incident has sent waves of fear through the local Muslim community and heightened concerns amid the worsening security crisis affecting many parts of the country. The attack occurred in Digare, a town in Gwana District, Alkaleri Local Government Area of Bauchi State.”

 How Suspected Phone Snatchers Killed Army Lieutenant In Kaduna  An army officer identified as Lieutenant IM Abubakar has reportedly been hacked to death by a gang that specialises in phone snatching and other crimes. The deceased was killed in the Unguwan Sarki area of Kaduna metropolis during the week. A popular counter-insurgency expert and security analyst in Lake Chad, Zagazola Makama disclosed this in a Twitter post. Makama described Abubakar as a talented officer.  He said, “Lt IM Abubakar(Isa) A Young Talented Army Officer Was Killed By Phone Snatchers on His Way Home In Unguwan Sarki, Kaduna. May his soul rest in peace.”
