 U.S believes Russia providing Iran intelligence on locations of US troops, sources say U.S. officials believe Russia has been sharing intelligence with Iran that includes the locations of American troops, aircraft, and naval vessels operating in the region, according to two people familiar with the intelligence assessments. An intelligence official also confirmed that the United States has concluded Russia is providing such information to Tehran. The alleged intelligence support has raised alarm among U.S. officials because it could allow Iranian forces to more accurately target American positions using ballistic missiles or drones. If the information proves accurate and actionable, it could significantly increase the risk faced by U.S. service members stationed across the Middle East during the ongoing conflict.
