Burt Reynolds told Sandy Duncan he 'wanted to kill' her at height of 'Barney' fame, she says Sandy Duncan, whose career spans seven decades with Emmy, Tony, and Golden Globe nominations, is still remembered by many for her brief role in Barney & the Backyard Gang.  In 1988, during a Hollywood writers’ strike, Duncan accepted the part of “Mom” in the direct‑to‑video children’s series about a purple dinosaur.  Though she had already built a reputation in family entertainment with Peter Pan, Pinocchio, and voice work for Scooby‑Doo and The Fox and the Hound, she admitted later that she was surprised by the project’s simplicity and returned to her regular work after filming three episodes. The success of the videos led to PBS picking up Barney & Friends, and producers asked Duncan to reprise her role.  She recalled being pitched on the franchise’s future, including plush toys and merchandising, but declined the offer a decision she later regretted.  Despite...

Candace Owens claims Erika Kirk lied about not dating anyone for 5 years

Candace Owens, 36, has publicly criticized Erika Kirk, 37, over comments about her dating history. On the February 27 episode of her Bride of Charlie YouTube series, Owens accused Erika of being dishonest about her past relationships, claiming she misrepresented her romantic background before marrying Charlie Kirk in 2018.

Owens suggested Erika’s recollections seemed inconsistent, describing them as “glitches” in her storytelling. She also alleged that Erika had actively sought proximity to high-profile figures in an effort to gain fame.

Erika has previously insisted she did not date during her five years in New York, citing her preference for coffee or brunch over drinks and distancing herself from the city’s dating culture. However, resurfaced evidence appears to contradict her claims.

A deleted Instagram post from 2017 showed her attending a painting class with Cabot Phillips, while a 2014 audition tape for The Amazing Race featured her alongside then-boyfriend JT Massey. In 2018, she also appeared briefly on Bravo’s Summer House as a potential love interest for Jordan Verroi, further fueling speculation about her dating past.

Despite the controversy, Erika has spoken lovingly about her late husband Charlie, who was fatally shot at a university event in Utah in 2025. She praised his courage, faith, and devotion to family, recalling his passion for sports and his deep love for their two children.

While Owens’ remarks have reignited debate about Erika’s past, her public statements continue to focus on honoring Charlie’s memory and navigating life after his tragic death.
