 YOBE STATE GOVERNMENT APPROVES ENROLLMENT OF RETIREES INTO THE STATES HEALTHCARE MANAGEMENT  Yobe state government has approved the enrollment of the state and local government retirees into the state  contributory  Healthcare Management Agency (YSCHMA) social equity programme, marking a significant milestone in the state's effort to strengthen social protection and expand access to quality healthcare .  CFO fired over financial misconduct in Mopani District Municipality


Mopani District Council has dismissed Chief Financial Officer Sibongile Mathebula with immediate effect after a formal disciplinary hearing into financial misconduct.


Council says the process followed labour law and municipal regulations, and that Mathebula was given a chance to respond before the final decision.


Leaders now promise tighter controls, stronger action against corruption, and accountability for any losses involving public funds.
