 ANAMBRA POLICE RECORDS FURTHER GAINS IN SUSTAINING SAFETY: ARRESTS THREE SUSPECTED ARMED ROBBERS/CULTISTS, RECOVERS BERETTA PISTOLS, AMMUNITION, STOLEN PETROL TANKER AND OTHER INCRIMINATING ITEMS The Anambra State Police Command has continued to record significant operational successes in its sustained efforts to enhance safety and security across the State, with the latest arrest of three suspected armed robbers/cultists and the recovery of arms, ammunition, and a stolen petrol tanker in separate operations. Police Operatives attached to the Rapid Response Squad, Awkuzu, on 21st March 2026 at about 1.46 pm, acting on credible intelligence, stormed a suspected criminal hideout in Ogidi, Idemili North Local Government Area. During the operation, three suspects were arrested, namely: Francis Chukwuka Anene, male, 46 years, Emmanuel Obi, male, 29 years and Okoye Chinonso, male, 35 years and an alleged serving member of a security agency.  ‎Dabiri-Erewa Mourns Nigerian Student, Khaleed Oladipo Killed In Leicester, UK

‎Chairman, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Abike Dabiri-Erewa has requested UK authorities for a thorough investigation and justice over the tragic death of Khaleed Oladipo, a 20-year-old Nigerian student who was allegedly stabbed in Leicester, UK.

In a signed statement by the ‎Head of Media, public Relations and Protocols Unit, of the commission, Abdur- Rahman BalogunKhaleed indicates that Oladipo, a second-year Cybersecurity student at De Montfort University, was reportedly attacked while on his way home from watching a football match. 


It described the incident as heartbreaking and a painful loss to both the Oladipo family and the Nigerian community at home and in the diaspora.

‎‎NiDCOM, she reiterated would  continue to be committed to the welfare and protection of Nigerians in the diaspora Community.
