Family friend Peggy Mok told local outlets that both drivers pulled over after the impact. Lo’s 9 year old daughter reportedly watched as her father approached the other vehicle to exchange insurance information.
“Barrick knocked on the glass. The other driver didn’t come out,” Mok said, according to KGTV. She alleged that the other vehicle then attempted to leave the scene.
“The other car tried to back off and then boom, drove towards him. His head hit on the edge of the road.”
Lo was taken to a nearby hospital. He di!d two days later from his injuries, the outlets reported.
The California Highway Patrol confirmed to KGTV that 57 year old Lawrence Wynn was arrested after authorities located his vehicle several days after the incident.
According to a criminal complaint reviewed by the station, Wynn pleaded not guilty to multiple charges, including murder. The complaint also indicates he has a prior felony conviction.
