The Commissioner of Police, Enugu State Command, CP Mamman Bitrus Giwa, psc, has directed officers and men of the Command to redouble their efforts and step up crime-fighting across the State. He charged them to be proactive, forward-looking, and strategic in tackling crime in their respective areas of responsibility, while building on the existing Command-wide policing strategy to sustain law and order across the State.

CP Giwa gave the directive during the Command’s Monthly Strategic Security Conference held today, 10th February 2026, at the Senior Police Officers’ Mess, Agbani Road, Enugu. While commending the officers for the operational achievements recorded in the previous month, he urged them to sustain the momentum and ensure that unrepentant criminals and their activities are flushed out of Enugu State.

The Commissioner further warned supervisory officers to continue to guide their subordinates towards firm, ethical, and professional discharge of their duties, noting that any conduct to the contrary would attract appropriate sanctions.

The conference was attended by Deputy and Assistant Commissioners of Police heading various departments and offices, Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers, Heads of tactical and operational units, and other senior officers of the Command.
