 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event.  Fast-Rising talented Singer, Ifunaya dies of snake bike


Ifunanya Nwangene had a life that was full and exciting. She graduated from the University of Nigeria Nsukka with a degree in Architecture and settled into a busy life in Abuja.


 Her soprano voice captured millions all over social media with her rendition of the Champions League anthem and the world came to know this talented singer.


Ifunanya is a  young woman with an angelic voice who performed in operas and special events across the country, she went through the furnace of hard work to sharpen her craft and became an admired personality.


But death had other plans.


This weekend, in her house in Abuja, a cobra gained entrance into her room and left its venom in her body after biting her. She managed to get to a hospital, but help couldn't come soon enough and she passed away.


This death adds to the list of preventable deaths if our systems worked well. It hurts that I am writing about the death of Ifunanya, not because she has completed her mission on Earth, but because her environment took her away too soon.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
