 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.  Fast-Rising talented Singer, Ifunaya dies of snake bike


Ifunanya Nwangene had a life that was full and exciting. She graduated from the University of Nigeria Nsukka with a degree in Architecture and settled into a busy life in Abuja.


 Her soprano voice captured millions all over social media with her rendition of the Champions League anthem and the world came to know this talented singer.


Ifunanya is a  young woman with an angelic voice who performed in operas and special events across the country, she went through the furnace of hard work to sharpen her craft and became an admired personality.


But death had other plans.


This weekend, in her house in Abuja, a cobra gained entrance into her room and left its venom in her body after biting her. She managed to get to a hospital, but help couldn't come soon enough and she passed away.


This death adds to the list of preventable deaths if our systems worked well. It hurts that I am writing about the death of Ifunanya, not because she has completed her mission on Earth, but because her environment took her away too soon.
