 NEMA COORDINATES SAR OPS AT THE SCENE OF BUILDING COLLAPSE INVOLVING A THREE STOREY BUILDING UNDER CONSTRUCTION AT GUDU AREA OF FCT At about 0945hrs on Saturday 16th May, 2026, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) was alerted of a building collapse at Gudu District of FCT.  Critical stakeholders including Federal Fire, FCT Fire, NSCDC, NPF, FRSC and Federal Capital Territory Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) were activated while a response team of NEMA from the Abuja Operations Office led by the Head of Operations Mr Zakari Abubakar  and operatives from AYA Emergency Response Bay (ERAB) were deployed to the scene for quick response and coordination.  A reinforcement team  from NEMA Headquarters led by the Director Search and Response (DSAR) Air Cdre Bature Usman was also on ground to provide necessary backup and supervision.  LASG PRESENTS CHEQUES TO ANOTHER 250 BENEFICIARIES


The Lagos State Government, through the Office of Political, Legislative and Civic Engagement has presented Cheques to another 250 indigent residents of Lagos under the Eko Cares Financial Assistance Programme.


The presentation ceremony was held recently at the Office of Political, Legislative and Civic Engagement.


The Cheque was presented to the beneficiaries by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Political, Legislative and Civic Engagement, Dr. Afolabi Abiodun Tajudeen, alongside the Permanent Secretary of the Office, Engr. Sholabomi Shasore.


This latest disbursement brings the total number of beneficiaries to over 1000 since the beginning of 2026, underscoring the state government's unwavering commitment to ensuring no indigent Lagosian is left behind. The government remains firmly dedicated to sustaining these people-centred interventions as it continues to engage purposefully in the lives of its residents.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
