 STATEHOUSE PRESS RELEASE PRESIDENT TINUBU: ARGUNGU FESTIVAL SHOWS RETURN OF STABILITY, PLEDGES STRONGER SUPPORT FOR AGRICULTURE AND TOURISM  President Bola Tinubu on Saturday described the 61st Argungu International Fishing and Cultural Festival as a testament to the return of stability and normalcy in Kebbi State and across the country.   Speaking at the grand finale of the festival in Argungu, the President pledged sustained Federal Government support for tourism, agriculture, food security, and rural development.   He commended the state government for successfully organising the historic cultural event, which attracted over 50,000 fishermen from across Nigeria and neighbouring countries.  MAN ALLEGEDLY DRUGS WOMAN, FLEES WITH CASH AS CCTV TRAIL EMERGES IN GBOKO HOTEL 




A man identified as Mr. Lawal allegedly drugged a woman at Doripet Hotels in Gboko before fleeing with her money, phone, and other belongings.


According to reports, the suspect checked into the hotel with the woman, reportedly administered a substance to incapacitate her, and allegedly assaulted her. He then left the hotel with her possessions.


Hotel sources confirmed that CCTV cameras captured the entire incident, providing evidence that could assist authorities in tracking down the suspect.


No official statement has yet been released by police, but residents have urged swift action to ensure the suspect is apprehended and justice is served.
