 Former Kennedy Center employees allege leadership delayed roof repairs before citing safety issues in closure decision Former Kennedy Center employees allege that the venue’s leadership knew about serious structural problems well before citing newly discovered hazards as the reason for its abrupt closure this month. The claims were outlined in a letter to Congress from a lawyer representing anonymous whistleblowers. The letter accuses the center’s executive director and chief operating officer, Matt Floca, of failing to prioritize roof repairs and stopping a funded repair plan in April. Floca disputes the allegations, saying recent inspections revealed that water damage had spread farther into the building than officials previously knew. In a September court declaration, Floca cited “acute risks to public safety” following an inspection that found deterioration in a roof terrace canopy and a partial ceiling collapse.  MOB SETS ALLEGED BIKE SNATCHER ABLAZE IN MAKURDI

Tragedy struck on Sunday night in the Achusa area of Makurdi, Benue State, as a suspected motorcycle snatcher was allegedly burnt to death by an irate mob.


The incident occurred around Baptist Secondary School, Achusa, when the suspect was said to have been caught in the act of attempting to snatch a motorcycle.


Eyewitnesses told Benue Info-pedia that the suspect was apprehended by residents who quickly gathered at the scene. In the heat of the moment, the crowd reportedly descended on him before setting him ablaze.


As at the time of filing this report, the identity of the deceased had not been ascertained.


Police authorities in Benue State were yet to issue an official statement on the incident. However, security agencies have repeatedly warned against jungle justice, urging residents to hand over suspects to law enforcement for proper investigation and prosecution.


The latest incident has reignited concerns over rising cases of mob action in parts of the state.
