My parents didn’t know I did BBL until it started smelling — Queen Asoka

Reality TV star Queen Asoka has opened up about secretly undergoing a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL), revealing that her parents only found out after complications set in.

Speaking during an interview with Chude Jideonwo, Queen said the decision to have surgery was not impulsive but a gradual process rooted in her long-standing dream of becoming a commercial and fashion model.

According to her, while her mother supported her ambitions, her father, a lawyer, wanted all his children to follow the legal profession. She recalled how her mum would secretly take her to competitions, and how chaos broke out the day her father saw her in an Airtel advert at his office.

Determined to stand out in the modelling industry, Queen said she felt she didn’t have the typical height and body structure of a fashion model. That pushed her to consider enhancing her body to gain what she described as a “selling point,” especially as she envisioned building a modelling career abroad.

However, things took a frightening turn after the procedure. Queen revealed she suffered fat necrosis, a complication that left her traumatised and withdrawn.

“I locked myself in my room,” she said, explaining that her sister kept pleading with her to eat. On the second day, her sister insisted she open the door and immediately noticed a foul smell and leakage from the surgery site.

The discovery raised alarm in the house, and that was how her parents found out she had undergone the BBL.

Queen described the experience as deeply traumatising, shedding light on the risks behind cosmetic surgery and the need for support. She highlighted the fact that her family made sure she got the procedure done the right way after they discovered.
