 South Korean police seek arrest warrant for Hybe chairman Bang Si-Hyuk over alleged $100 million investor fraud scheme    South Korean police are seeking an arrest warrant for Bang Si-Hyuk, the billionaire music executive behind K-pop powerhouse Hybe and BTS, as part of an expanding investigation into allegations that he improperly benefited from an investor scheme involving more than $100 million. Authorities said they have asked prosecutors to pursue a court warrant for Bang’s arrest as they continue probing claims that he misled investors in 2019. Investigators allege he told investors that Hybe had no plans for an initial public offering, leading them to sell shares to a private equity fund. The company later went public, and police suspect a separate arrangement may have resulted in Bang receiving a substantial payout tied to post-IPO stock profits.  Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has rewarded Mr. Solanke Francis Taiwo, a teacher at Ansa-Ur-Deen Main School I, Abeokuta, with a two-bedroom bungalow for emerging as the Overall Best Primary School Teacher in Nigeria for the 2025/2026 session. 

The governor also presented him with the keys to a brand-new car donated by the Federal Government, in addition to the ₦50 million cash prize earlier awarded at the National Teachers’ Summit in Abuja.


The presentation took place at the Governor’s Office in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, where Governor Abiodun announced that the bungalow would be allocated to the award-winning teacher in any location of his choice under the State Housing Scheme. He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to continuous teacher training, welfare, digitisation, and innovation, noting that sustained reforms in the education sector are yielding measurable national recognition for Ogun State.
