 KADIRS Warns Residents Against Fake Revenue Collectors, Introduces E-Demand Notice As Sole Payment Authorization The Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS) has cautioned taxpayers and residents of Kaduna State against making revenue payments without first obtaining an official E-Demand Notice (Pay Advice), warning that fraudsters may exploit outdated payment processes to defraud the public. In a public announcement issued on Thursday, KADIRS said the move forms part of its ongoing efforts to automate revenue collection and enhance transparency across the state.  The agency disclosed that manual demand notices previously used for Local Government revenue collection have been phased out and are no longer recognized. According to KADIRS, the E-Demand Notice (Pay Advice) has officially replaced the former Local Government Harmonized Demand Notice and is now the only valid document for on-the-spot taxpayer assessment through the state's Central Billing System.  Police Seal Off Hyde Park Home After Shooting Leaves Worker Critically Injured


Police operations intensified in Hyde Park after a 23 year old worker was shot and critically injured at a residence linked to Bellarmine Chatunga Mugabe.


Authorities deployed three emergency medical service trucks to the scene. K9 and forensic units searched the property as part of an ongoing investigation. Officers are looking for the firearm believed to have been used in the shooting. Police have not yet confirmed whether any weapon has been recovered.


The residence is connected to Mugabe, the son of the late former Zimbabwean president Robert Mugabe. Mugabe and another man have been taken into custody. They are expected to appear in the Alexandra Magistrates Court on charges of attempted murder.


Authorities have not released further details about the circumstances that led to the shooting. The condition of the injured worker remains critical.


The case has drawn attention because of the high profile name involved and the location of the incident in one of Johannesburg’s most affluent suburbs. However, the outcome will depend on the strength of the evidence presented in court. Police investigations are ongoing.
