 PRESIDENT TINUBU CONGRATULATES MINISTER OF STATE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS AMBASSADOR ENIKANOLAIYE ON HIS BIRTHDAY   President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye, on his birthday.    A statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President, Information and Strategy, indicates that the President describes Ambassador Enikanolaiye as a distinguished diplomat, accomplished administrator and dedicated public servant whose career reflects professionalism, patriotism and a deep commitment to Nigeria.   Ambassador Enikanolaiye served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from August 1982 to August 2017, rising through the ranks to become Permanent Secretary.  Rivers assembly halts impeachment proceedings against Fubara


The Rivers State House of Assembly has halted the impeachment proceedings against Governor Siminalayi Fubara and the Deputy Governor, Ngozi Odu.


The House moved the motion to halt the impeachment process at its resumed sitting in Port Harcourt, the state capital, today February 19.


This move comes barely a week after President Tinubu intervened in the renewed political impasse between Governor Sim Fubara and his predecessor and current Minister of the FCT, Nyesom Wike.


The House of Assembly members, who are loyal to the FCT Minister, had in January issued a notice of impeachment to Gov Fubara and his deputy on grounds of gross misconduct.
