 Anambra Government Reaffirms Mega City Drive, Demolishes Scores of Illegal Structures By Ruth Orji  The Anambra State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to the ongoing regeneration drive and restoration of sanity across the state through enforcement exercises and demolition of illegal structures statewide. The exercise was led by the Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Barrister Chijioke Ojukwu, on July 8, in line with the Physical Planning Law of Anambra State. Stating that it is no longer business as usual, the commissioner urged residents to take every notice received from the ministry seriously and comply promptly with planning regulations henceforth. He, however, said several eviction notices had been served but were taken with a pinch of salt, adding that demolitions followed because structures defaced the environment or obstructed pedestrian walkways.  Sextortion: Witness Narrates How Governor’s  Aide Lured Her


The trial of a former Special Adviser to the Benue State Governor on Documentation, Research and Planning, Dr. Donatus Aondona Mkor, continue on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 before Justice M.O. Olajuwon of the Federal High Court sitting in Lafia, Nasarawa State, as the EFCC presented its second witness, Aluka Seembe, who told the court how the Governor’s aide lured her to get canal knowledge of her. The case has been adjourned to March 19, 2026 for continuation of trail.
