 PRESS BRIEFING BY THE POLICE PUBLIC RELATIONS OFFICER, ON BEHALF OF THE COMMISSIONER OF POLICE EDO STATE COMMAND Good afternoon, Ladies and Gentlemen of the Press.  It is with great pleasure that the Command wishes to inform the general public of its latest achievement over the immediate past week arising from ongoing intelligence- led operations: Within the past week, the command have arrested a total of 10 suspects for violent crimes, neutralized 1 suspected kidnapper, recovered 1 AK 47 Rifle, 10 7.62 mm live ammunitions, 1 barrette pistol with 14 live ammunition. 1. ARREST OF SUSPECT IN ABDUCTION AND SEXUAL ABUSE OF FIVE FEMALE CHILDREN. On 12th September 2026, the Command received information on the alleged abduction of five female children from the ibillo/ Imoga axis of Akoko - Edo LGA.
