 South Korean police seek arrest warrant for Hybe chairman Bang Si-Hyuk over alleged $100 million investor fraud scheme    South Korean police are seeking an arrest warrant for Bang Si-Hyuk, the billionaire music executive behind K-pop powerhouse Hybe and BTS, as part of an expanding investigation into allegations that he improperly benefited from an investor scheme involving more than $100 million. Authorities said they have asked prosecutors to pursue a court warrant for Bang’s arrest as they continue probing claims that he misled investors in 2019. Investigators allege he told investors that Hybe had no plans for an initial public offering, leading them to sell shares to a private equity fund. The company later went public, and police suspect a separate arrangement may have resulted in Bang receiving a substantial payout tied to post-IPO stock profits. THE ANAMBRA STATE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION HAS VOWED TO PROSECUTE THE WOMAN ACCUSED OF TORTURING A 17-YEAR-OLD FEMALE STUDENT IN AWKA.(PHOTO).


 The Anambra State Ministry of Education has vowed to prosecute the woman accused of torturing a 17-year-old female student in Awka.


The Commissioner for Education, Prof. Ngozi Chuma-Udeh, said the suspect, Osinachi Ede, will be arraigned before a court to serve as a deterrent against child abuse. She made this known while addressing the suspect in her office in Awka today 20th Feb. 


Ede, 29, was arrested by the Anambra State Police Command on February 3, 2025, for allegedly using a hot electric iron to inflict serious injuries on the girl, who was reportedly her house help.


The Commissioner said the move reflects the commitment of Governor Chukwuma Soludo to protect children in schools across the state. She also directed that the victim, who had been sent to her relatives, be returned to Awka.
