 Setting the Records Straight on  Citizen Asar Michael Sesugh's  Death The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,  EFCC,  considered it imperative to clear the air on some recent incidents at its Makurdi Zonal Directorate,  Benue State.   Operatives of the Directorate arrested 26 suspected cyber fraudsters on April 28,  2026.  They were profiled and kept in custody for further investigations after obtaining a Remand Order at a Magistrate Court.  Shortly after their arrest,  specifically on May 4,  2026,  three of the suspects sought permission to use the lavatory at the Directorate's  Holding Facility and were permitted.   They cashed in on the opportunity,  broke the toilet's roof and escaped from detention.  Several efforts were made to re- arrest them to no avail.  The South East lost a lot of money because of the lockdown we experienced, crippling our economy is not the best way to get Biafra- Major of Afrika( member Igbo Integration Movement)

The pioneer of African Epistemology, and member of the Igbo Integration Movement, Known as Majorofafrika on social media has strongly criticized the Lockdown(sit at home) pattern embraced by ndi igbo.


He noted this while reacting to a question about IPOB on Gbam special edition, he stated that the lock down instituted by IPOB affected the economy of the South East so much that so many businesses were crippled including his own and caused the ndi Igbo to lose millions of Naira. 

 

He argued that while so many might be sympathizing with the activities of IPOB, that crippling the economy cannot get ndi Igbo Biafra, that getting Biafra can only come when there is a referendum organized by the federal government in Abuja.


He further asked ndi igbo to seek more of inclusive government rather than seeking for a separate nation.
