 UK leader Starmer battles to keep job as Mandelson-Epstein revelations trigger crisis    British Prime Minister Keir Starmer was fighting for political survival on Monday as his authority within the Labour Party sharply eroded less than two years into his term. Under mounting pressure from party lawmakers, Starmer was scrambling to head off a potential revolt that could cost him the leadership after a damaging scandal involving his appointment of Peter Mandelson as Britain’s ambassador to Washington. The crisis deepened over the weekend when Starmer lost his chief of staff, and it intensified further on Monday with the resignation of his director of communications, Tim Allan, who said he was stepping aside to allow a new team to be formed.  UNIZIK declares state of emergency on infrastructure at Nnewi College of Health Sciences


In a bold move towards translating vision into action, the Governing Council of Nnamdi Azikiwe University has declared a State of Emergency on infrastructural upgrade and facilities at the University College of Health Sciences located at Okofia, Nnewi, Anambra State.


Rising from a two-day Council Meeting and facility tour of the College in Nnewi, and Neni, the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Council, Barr. Olugbenga Kukoyi gave the immediate approval for the rapid infrastructural development of the College of Health Sciences.


Leading other members of the Council and the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Bond Ugochukwu Anyaehie , to the 2nd Induction/ oath taking ceremony of the Department of Anatomy, the Pro-Chancellor, declared a State of Emergency on infrastructural development of the campus.


He informed the students that they are searching for more spaces to build Students hostels while the ones already completed would soon be occupied by the Students.lWhile on a tour of the College campuses located at Nnewi (Okofia and Akamili) and Neni, the council members inspected the extensive construction and facilities at these .
