 ANAMBRA SECURITY: CP NNANNA URGES PRESIDENTS-GENERAL OF COMMUNITIES TO PRIORITISE SECURITY, STEP UP SUPPORT FOR FIGHT AGAINST CRIMINALITY The Commissioner of Police, Anambra State Command, CP Nnanna Oji Ama, psc, mnips, has called on Presidents-General of communities across the State to place the security and wellbeing of their respective communities at the forefront of their leadership responsibilities. The Commissioner made the call on 4th September 2026 while receiving the Association of Presidents-General of Communities in the State. He noted that the Presidents-General occupy strategic positions in their respective communities and therefore have a crucial role to play in supporting the Police and other security agencies in the fight against criminality. PRESIDENT TINUBU CONGRATULATES AGRICULTURE MINISTER, ABUBAKAR KYARI, ON ELECTION AS IFAD CHAIR

 

President Bola Tinubu congratulates the Honourable Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Senator Abubakar Kyari, on his emergence as the new Chairperson of the Governing Council of the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD).

 

Senator Kyari was unanimously elected on Tuesday to head the 49th Governing Council of IFAD, the international body's supreme decision-making authority.

 

President Tinubu remarks: "The election of the Agriculture and Food Security minister is a confidence vote in his capacity and the reforms he spearheads in Nigeria's agriculture and food security value chain.

 

"I have confidence that Senator Kyari will give IFAD the right leadership and deepen its relevance and impact, especially at a time of global food security crises."

 

The President wishes Senator Kyari a successful, impactful tenure as he takes the reins.
