 Abia Governor Otti Approves First Phase of Medical Bills for Veteran Actress Ngozi Nwosu Abia State Governor Dr. Alex Otti has approved payment for the first phase of medical bills for Abia-born Nollywood veteran Ngozi Nwosu as she continues to battle health challenges. The intervention was announced by Dr. Justice Okey Martins (popularly known as JMartins), Senior Special Assistant on Tourism and Entertainment to the Governor. Martins expressed gratitude to Otti for the timely support and appealed to Nigerians to continue assisting the actress. According to Martins, the Governor’s approval covers only the initial portion of Nwosu’s medical expenses. Further financial assistance remains necessary to ensure she receives the full care required.  ‎A former senator representing Anambra North, Emmanuel Anosike, has emerged as Chairman of the Anambra State chapter of the All Progressives Congress.

‎

‎Anosike, who also chairs the Anambra Imo River Basin Development Commission, was elected through a consensus arrangement at the party’s state congress held at its headquarters in Awka on Tuesday.

‎

‎Announcing the outcome, the Chairman of the State Congress Committee and Returning Officer, Williams Kayoda, declared the consensus list of State Executive Committee members, which he said was endorsed by about 2,100 delegates through voice affirmation.

‎

‎Kayoda named Chief Chidi Orji as Vice Chairman and Obi Okpala as Secretary, among other executive members, stating that the process complied with Articles 14 and 20 of the party’s constitution, which provide for consensus in the election of officers.
