ABBA KYARI AND 2 OTHERS DISCHARGED AND ACQUITTED ON ALL THE 23 COUNTS FROM NDLEA BY THE FEDERAL HIGH COURT ABUJA BEFORE JUSTICE JAMES OMOTOSHO TODAY 5/3/2026.(PHOTO).#PRESS RELEASE

ALHAMDULILLAH! ALHAMDULILLAH!! AlHADULILAHI!!
Indeed, whatever has a beginning must surely have an end.
Today, justice has spoken.

In the case of asset declaration and money laundering allegations brought against Abba Kyari and others, judgment was delivered today before the Federal High Court of Nigeria, Court 8, Abuja, presided over by Hon. Justice James Omotosho.

The matter, instituted by the Federal Republic of Nigeria through the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency(NDLEA), contained 23 charges in CHARGE NO: FHC/ABJ/CR/408/2022

After a full trial in which witnesses testified and evidence was presented before the Court, the Honourable Court held that the prosecution failed to prove the allegations beyond a reasonable doubt, as required by law.
Accordingly, the COURT DISCHARGED AND ACQUITTED ABBA KYARI and, alongside his two brothers, Muhammed Baba Kyari and Ali Baba Kyari, of all charges.

This case lingered for over four years, during which the defendants endured immense public scrutiny, reputational damage, and media trials that portrayed Abba Kyari as though he had already been convicted.
Today’s judgment is therefore not only a legal victory but a reaffirmation of the principle that every person is presumed innocent until proven guilty by a competent court of law.

However, it is important to note that another charge is still pending before the Federal High Court of Nigeria, with charge No: FHC/ABJ/CR/57/2022 Between Federal Republic of Nigeria ( NDLEA) Vs Dcp Abba Kyari & 4 Ors, where the prosecution has already closed its case, and the defence is currently presenting its evidence.
Congratulations to Abba Kyari on this remarkable legal victory.

May justice, fairness, and the rule of law continue to prevail.

Justice may be delayed, but today it has not been denied.!!!!
