ALIA OPENS NATIONAL LEARNING ASSESSMENT 2026 IN MAKURDI, HOSTS SIX-STATE TECHNICAL TEAM Governor Hyacinth Alia on Monday declared open the National Learning Assessment 2026 meeting held at the headquarters of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) in Makurdi, Benue State, where a technical team drawn from six states is participating in the exercise aimed at improving education data and learning outcomes. The governor, represented by the Commissioner for Education and Knowledge Management, Dr Margaret Adamu, said the assessment is critical for generating reliable data to support student development and education planning. She highlighted ongoing reforms in the state’s education sector, including free and compulsory basic education from Primary 1 to Junior Secondary School 3 and the renovation of public schools. AN INDIANA WOMAN TRAVELED TO A HOME IN RURAL ILLINOIS WHERE SHE TOOK THE LIFE OF HER CHILDREN'S FATHER AS WELL AS BOTH HIS PARENTS. (PHOTOS).

 A shocking triple homicide in rural Illinois.


An Indiana woman traveled to a home in rural Illinois where she took the life of her children's father as well as both his parents. 


Deputies with the Will County Sheriff's Department were called to do a welfare check at a home on the 3400 block of Norway Trail in Crete Township, Illinois.


Once on scene, deputies discovered 32-year-old Jacob Lambert deceased in a vehicle in the property's driveway. As deputies continued to search the area, they soon discovered Jacob's parents, 55-year-old Patrick Forde, and 54-year-old Stacy Forde, both deceased near the front door of the home. All three had passed away from gunshot wounds.


It didn't take investigators long to identify their main suspect as 30-year-old Jenna Strouble. Jenna had been in an on-and-off again relationship with Jacob, and they shared two children a 3-year-old boy and a 4-year-old girl.


Investigators determined that Jenna had fled the scene and traveled back to her home in St. John, Indiana. 


Officers with the St. John Police Department  quickly made their way to Jenna's residence and took her into custody. Authorities have said that Jenna made incriminating statements while being interviewed by detectives.  A firearm that reportedly matched the type of weapon used in the homicides was recovered during her arrest.


Jenna Strouble is currently being held in Lake County, Indiana, awaiting extradition to Illinois, where she will be charged with nine  counts of first-degree m*rder.


Our thoughts are with the victims family and also the two poor children who ultimately lost both parents in one day, as well as paternal grandparents. All three victims are remembered for their kindness and friendly personalities.
