 Sudan urges displaced citizens abroad to return home Sudan has called on all displaced citizens living abroad to return home, as the government steps up efforts to facilitate voluntary repatriation and remove barriers facing returnees. Prime Minister Kamil Idris said his office is committed to easing the return process and ensuring citizens can actively contribute to rebuilding the country, state media SUNA reports. Speaking during a visit to the Ashkeit border crossing in Wadi Halfa, Idris said authorities have taken steps to eliminate illegal levies and ensure that returning citizens are not subjected to additional fees, compulsory charges or arbitrary customs duties. He noted that such practices had previously placed an unnecessary burden on citizens without benefiting the state. The Federal High Court Sitting In Abuja Has Granted Final Forfeiture Of Over 3 Billion Naira And Three Properties Linked To One Salihu Nuhu Jamari While Serving As The Managing Director Of, Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, Nnpc’S Gas And Power Investment Company Limited.

                         Justice Joyce Abdulmalik Gave The Order In Abuja Following A Motion On Notice Filed By The Economic And Financial Crimes Commission, Efcc On March 17, 2026.

 

The Court Had On February 25, 2026, Granted An Interim Forfeiture Order, Directing That The Publication Of The Same Be Made In A National Newspaper For Any Interested Party To Show Cause Why The Said Exhibits Should Not Be Finally Forfeited To The Federal Government.


The Said Money Forms Part Of A Case Of Conspiracy, Kickbacks, Bribery And Money Laundering, Involving The Staff And Contractors Of The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Wherein The Name Of One Salihu Nuhu Jamari Featured Prominently Through A Petition Dated April 28, 2025.

Justice Abdulmalik, After Considering The Application, Held That It Had Merit And Ordered The Final Forfeiture Of The Assets To The Federal Government Of Nigeria.

 How Suspected Phone Snatchers Killed Army Lieutenant In Kaduna  An army officer identified as Lieutenant IM Abubakar has reportedly been hacked to death by a gang that specialises in phone snatching and other crimes. The deceased was killed in the Unguwan Sarki area of Kaduna metropolis during the week. A popular counter-insurgency expert and security analyst in Lake Chad, Zagazola Makama disclosed this in a Twitter post. Makama described Abubakar as a talented officer.  He said, “Lt IM Abubakar(Isa) A Young Talented Army Officer Was Killed By Phone Snatchers on His Way Home In Unguwan Sarki, Kaduna. May his soul rest in peace.”
