 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken. The Federal High Court Sitting In Abuja Has Granted Final Forfeiture Of Over 3 Billion Naira And Three Properties Linked To One Salihu Nuhu Jamari While Serving As The Managing Director Of, Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, Nnpc’S Gas And Power Investment Company Limited.

                         Justice Joyce Abdulmalik Gave The Order In Abuja Following A Motion On Notice Filed By The Economic And Financial Crimes Commission, Efcc On March 17, 2026.

 

The Court Had On February 25, 2026, Granted An Interim Forfeiture Order, Directing That The Publication Of The Same Be Made In A National Newspaper For Any Interested Party To Show Cause Why The Said Exhibits Should Not Be Finally Forfeited To The Federal Government.


The Said Money Forms Part Of A Case Of Conspiracy, Kickbacks, Bribery And Money Laundering, Involving The Staff And Contractors Of The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Wherein The Name Of One Salihu Nuhu Jamari Featured Prominently Through A Petition Dated April 28, 2025.

Justice Abdulmalik, After Considering The Application, Held That It Had Merit And Ordered The Final Forfeiture Of The Assets To The Federal Government Of Nigeria.
