 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean.  DANGOTE TRUCK COLLIDES  WITH WATER TANKER ON OTUKPO FEDERAL ROAD 


A truck belonging to the Dangote Group has collided with a water tanker along the Otukpo Federal Road in Benue State.


The accident occurred opposite Asalane, causing temporary disruption to traffic flow in the area.

 Eyewitnesses said both the heavy-duty vehicles were involved in a head-on collision, forcing motorists to slow down as onlookers gathered at the scene.


While the circumstances leading to the crash remain unclear, residents described the impact as significant, with visible damage to the vehicles.

 However, there was no immediate official confirmation of casualties as of the time of filing this report.


Motorists plying the busy Otukpo corridor were advised to exercise caution, as security personnel and road users worked to ease congestion.


The Otukpo Federal Road is a major route linking communities within Benue State, and accidents involving articulated vehicles have raised fresh concerns about road safety and compliance with traffic regulations.
