Denise Richards slams her estranged husband for facelift leak

Denise Richards has opened up about her recent cosmetic journey, revealing that she underwent a full facelift eight months ago.

The actress explained that she had initially planned to share the news on her own terms, but her estranged husband Aaron Phypers allegedly leaked the information to the press, even claiming the procedure was botched.

Richards pushed back against that narrative, saying she was pleased with the results and wanted to restore a sense of familiarity to her appearance.

Having been in the public eye since her twenties, she admitted it was daunting to keep such a change private, but ultimately felt confident enough to tell her story.

This facelift wasn’t Richards’ first experience with cosmetic surgery. She had breast implants at 19, and over the years has dealt with complications, including ruptures that required multiple corrective surgeries.

Most recently, her implants ruptured during filming of Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test, leading to yet another procedure. Richards expressed gratitude to her doctor and her friend Camille Grammer for supporting her through recovery, which she documented online.

She shared her excitement about entering bikini season with renewed confidence, and fans praised her honesty about living with implants and the challenges that come with them.

Richards also noted that her openness has encouraged other celebrities to confide in her about their own procedures, breaking the illusion that flawless skin and features are achieved solely through serums or exercise.

For her, being candid about cosmetic work has been empowering, allowing her to reclaim control of her image during a difficult divorce.

By sharing her experiences, she not only normalizes the conversation around plastic surgery but also highlights resilience and self-acceptance, reinforcing her determination to feel comfortable in her own skin.
