I do so with a full heart and with a firm commitment to support whoever emerges as the candidate of our great party. Leadership is ultimately about sacrifice.  EID-EL-FITR: Gov. Ododo Urges Muslims to Hold on to Lessons of Ramadan  


Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo has felicitated with Muslims on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr, urging citizens to sustain unity, compassion and peaceful coexistence as lessons of Ramadan. 

In a statement by his Special Adviser on Media, Hon. Ismaila Isah, the Governor described Eid-el-Fitr as a significant moment marking the successful completion of Ramadan a period of fasting, reflection and spiritual renewal.

“Eid-el-Fitr is not only a celebration of the end of fasting but also a reminder of the shared values that bind us together as a people and teaches sacrifice, generosity and love for one another.”

Governor Ododo commended the Muslim Ummah for their devotion, discipline, and prayers for the peace, stability and progress of Kogi State and the nation during the holy month.

He called on residents to continue to uphold the virtues of patience, tolerance, and mutual respect, stressing that the lessons of Ramadan should guide daily interactions and collective efforts toward building a more united and prosperous society.

The Governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to inclusive governance, improved welfare for all citizens and the promotion of harmony among people of different religious and ethnic backgrounds.

He further urged the people of Kogi State to remember the vulnerable in society during the festivities and beyond, noting that compassion and kindness remain central to the teachings of Islam.

Governor Ododo prayed that Almighty Allah accepts the fast, sacrifices and acts of worship observed during Ramadan, and grants the prayers for peace, joy and continued progress of Kogi State.

He wished all Muslim faithfuls a joyous and blessed Eid-el-Fitr celebration.
