 Set designer Mary Kate Golding found dead in Queens home as police investigate possible murder-suicide Police are investigating the deaths of television set designer Mary Kate Golding and her husband after the 34-year-old was found fatally stabbed inside her Queens home. According to the New York Police Department, officers responded shortly after midnight on Tuesday, July 21, to a residence in Astoria, where they found Golding with a fatal stab wound to her back. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Several hours later, at about 6:39 a.m., officers responded to a separate 911 call reporting an unconscious person near Astoria Park South and Shore Boulevard. Police found an unresponsive man in the park, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. An NYPD source identified the man as Joseph Azzaretto, Golding's husband.  El-Rufai’s Mother, Hajiya Umma, Passes Away


According to Daily Trust, Hajiya Umma El-Rufai, the mother of Nasir El-Rufai, has passed away.


The exact circumstances surrounding her death were not fully disclosed at the time of reporting, but it was said to have occurred on Friday afternoon. 


Her grandson, Bello El-Rufai, confirmed the news in a statement, expressing the family’s grief and praying for her soul.


He described her as the biological mother of Nasir El-Rufai and appreciated the life she lived, while also asking the public to remember the family in prayers.


Her passing comes amid ongoing legal issues involving Nasir El-Rufai, who is currently in custody. 


The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has charged him with multiple offences, including alleged misappropriation of public funds and money laundering.


He has denied all allegations, and a Federal High Court in Kaduna has scheduled a hearing on his bail application for March 31.
