 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.  EX-PRESIDENT JONATHAN RECEIVES PASTOR PAUL ENENCHE IN YENAGOA 



Former President Goodluck Jonathan on Tuesday received the Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Paul Enenche, at his residence in Yenagoa.


Enenche, who was in the Bayelsa capital for a gospel crusade, paid the former president a courtesy visit.


A source familiar with the meeting said both leaders shared moments of prayer and fellowship during the visit.

Details of their discussions were not disclosed as of the time of filing this report.


Jonathan, who served as Nigeria’s President from 2010 to 2015, has continued to engage in peacebuilding and public service initiatives since leaving office.


Enenche is the founder and senior pastor of the Abuja-based church, known for organising large-scale evangelical outreaches across the country.
