  North Korea slams FBI over allegations of being behind Binance hack North Korea has rejected FBI allegations linking it to a reported $6 billion theft from cryptocurrency exchange Binance, with Kim Yo Jong describing the accusation as a "grave political provocation". In a statement carried by the state-run Korean Central News Agency on Tuesday, November 3, the sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un dismissed the allegation as "absurd rhetoric and nothing new". She referred to previous US accusations connecting North Korea to the major attack on cryptocurrency platform Bybit last year. "It is a grave political provocation against the DPRK that the US misleads the international public opinion as if all the cyber crimes in different parts of the world are our deeds," she said, using the abbreviation for North Korea's official name.  FG Appoints Prof.  Thairu Yunusa as CMD, UATH


President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of Professor Thairu Yunusa as the substantive Chief Medical Director of the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital, Gwagwalada.

The Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Professor Muhammad Ali Pate, presented the appointment letter to the new Chief Medical Director during a brief ceremony at his office in Abuja.


Professor Thairu Yunusa has since assumed office following the formal handover by the Acting Chief Medical Director, Professor Bob Ukonu, at the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital, Gwagwalada. 


In a statement Signed by the Public Relations officer, UATH, Sani Suleiman, the event was witnessed by members of the hospital’s top management team.


Until his appointment, Professor Yunusa led the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control Isolation and Treatment Centre in Gwagwalada and has played key roles in infectious disease management and clinical care delivery.


Speaking after assuming office, Professor Yunusa expressed appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the confidence reposed in him, pledging to strengthen healthcare service delivery in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of the present administration.


The Consultant Physician also called on the management and staff of the hospital to support his administration in advancing the hospital forward.
