PRESS RELEASE May 8, 2026 CERTIFIED TRUE COPY OF SUPREME COURT JUDGMENT IN CIRCULATION NOT OFFICIALLY RELEASED, BUT CONTENTS FURTHER AFFIRM ABDULRAHMAN AND ANYANWU’S LEADERSHIP OF THE PDP 1. The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has become aware of the circulation of a purported Certified True Copy (CTC) of the recent Supreme Court judgment relating to matters concerning the party. 2. The PDP wishes to categorically state that the document currently in circulation was not officially released by the Supreme Court. A careful examination of the purported CTC reveals that it falls short of the established requirements for proper certification of official court documents. The pages were neither duly certified, stamped, nor signed by any authorized court officer in accordance with legally recognized procedures. 3.  FG Orders Closure Of ARAP Company,  Ogun State


The Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment has ordered the immediate closure of African Refractory and Allied Products Company in Ogun State after issuing a Prohibition Notice. 

A statement by the Minister of state for labour and employment Nkeiruka Onyejeocha stated that the decision followed an inspection which revealed hazardous working conditions, particularly workers’ exposure to silica dust that poses serious health risks.

The Ministry also identified regulatory concerns including licence renewal issues and discrepancies in the company’s operations, contrary to provisions of the Factories Act. The facility will remain shut while a joint team investigates compliance with occupational safety standards.
