 VANDAL CRUSHED TO DEATH UNDER COLLAPSED TRANSMISSION TOWER IN DELTA STATE A suspected vandal has been crushed to death under a collapsed vandalised  transmission tower along the 330kV Ughelli-Benin transmission line in Delta State. The incident was discovered during a line patrol carried out by the Delta Sub-Region, Lines Maintenance Department of the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), following the tripping of the line on earth fault on the Ughelli - Benin 330kV Transmission line. A statement by the TCN indicates that the patrol team traced the fault to Tower 101, which had collapsed. The body of the suspected vandal was found crushed between the tower members. Tower 101 on the adjacent Ughelli - Sapele 330kV  transmission line had also been vandalized.

Operatives Of The Federal Road Safety Corps (Frsc), Zaria Unit Command Have Recovered And Safely Returned The Sum Of ₦3,727,500 In Cash Alongside Other Valuables Worth About ₦500,000 From The Scene Of A Fatal Road Crash.


In A Statement By The Acting Corps Public Education Officer, Felicia Kalu, This Reaffirms The Corps’ Enduring Reputation For Honesty And Public Trust.


The Zaria Unit Commander, Had Formally Handed Over The Recovered Money To The Victims In The Presence Of Their Relatives And Witnesses, The Gesture Which Is Said To Reflect The Ethical Foundation Upon Which The Frsc Operates And Its Deep Commitment To Protecting Both Lives And Property On Nigerian Roads.


The Tragic Crash Occurred On Sunday, 15 March 2026, Along The Zaria–Funtua Highway Near Zaria Academy, Claimed One Life At The Scene, While Eight Others Sustained Varying Degrees Of Injuries.
