 U.S equipment, experts arrive at Kenya Ebola facility despite court order, protests Around 20 flights carrying medical equipment and specialist staff have landed at a base in Kenya where the U.S. ​government is continuing to build an Ebola quarantine facility despite protests and Kenyan court orders blocking it, according to flight data and officials. At least two ‌people have been killed in protests in the central Kenyan town of Nanyuki, home to the Kenyan air force base where the U.S. military is building a 50-bed unit for Americans who might be exposed to the virus, which has infected hundreds in Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda. A Kenyan court first ordered work on the Ebola facility to be suspended on May ​28, yet U.S. military flights into Nanyuki continued in the days that followed, according to data from flight-tracking service Flightradar24. Gospel artiste and popular Nollywood soundtrack voice, Onos Brisibi, jhas died. She was 55.


Late Brisibi’s powerful vocals featured in classic Nollywood films such as Domitilla and Blood Money.


Her family confirmed her passing in a statement issued on Thursday, March 26. According to the statement, late Brisibi d!ed on March 23, 2026, after a prolonged illness.


Paying tribute, the family described her as a devoted Christian who impacted many lives through her music. They also remembered her as a joyful and warm-hearted individual, calling her “a beautiful and fun-loving woman with a heart of gold,” whose legacy will be fondly remembered


“The Brisibi family announces with deep sorrow the passing of Esteemed Sister Onos Nancy Brisibi, who transitioned to glory on 23rd March 2026 after a protracted illness,” the statement reads. 


“Onos Nancy Brisibi was a devoted Christian, a gifted songstress, and a passionate praise and worship leader whose angelic voice touched many lives as she spread the gospel through music.


“She will be remembered as a beautiful, fun-loving woman with a heart of gold, whose faith, warmth, and kindness left lasting impressions on all who knew her.”’’ the statement read


The singer is survived by her daughter Sarah Brisibi, her mother, siblings, extended family, friends, and her church family in LoveWorld Ministries.
