Hilary Duff recently revealed how Cameron Diaz stepped in to help her family during the devastating Los Angeles wildfires of 2025.
Speaking on The Drew Barrymore Show, Duff explained that Diaz and her husband, Benji Madden, generously opened their home to her, husband Matthew Koma, and their children after they were forced to evacuate.
While grateful for the support, Duff admitted the stressful situation created tension between her and Koma, recalling a lighthearted moment where she tossed his phone into a bougainvillea plant during an argument.
Barrymore praised Diaz and Madden for their kindness, calling them “the best people” for welcoming Duff’s family, which included her three young children and her eldest son Luca, whom she shares with ex-husband Mike Comrie.
The incident highlighted how celebrities, despite their fame, face the same emotional strain and family dynamics when confronted with emergencies like natural disasters.
Duff wasn’t the only star to share a wildfire-related mishap. Taylor Swift recounted a bizarre story involving Zoë Kravitz’s mother, Lisa Bonet, who lost a pet Burmese python in her home during the chaos.
Swift joked that the situation complete with a man wielding an ax to free the snake from a wall sounded more like a fashion ad than a real problem.
Kravitz eventually told Swift about the ordeal weeks later, once the damage had been repaired, underscoring the surreal and unexpected challenges people faced during the fires.
