 GOVERNMENT OF RIVERS STATE   PRESS STATEMENT  MY DECISION TO WITHDRAW FROM THE RIVERS  STATE  GUBERNATORIAL PRIMARIES  Fellow Rivers People, After deep reflection and extensive consultations with my family, friends, and associates, I have taken the difficult but necessary decision to withdraw from the APC gubernatorial primaries. I do so with a full heart and with a firm commitment to support whoever emerges as the candidate of our great party. Leadership is ultimately about sacrifice. There comes a time when personal ambition must yield to the greater good of the people. Rivers State is bigger than any individual, and at this critical moment, the peace, stability, and unity of our dear state must take precedence over every personal interest. “I didn’t take money from anyone” — actor Aremu Afolayan reacts to backlash after insinuating that there's no insecurity in the Country 


Nollywood actor Aremu Afolayan has responded to criticism following his recent comments.


In a statement, he apologised to Nigerians, saying the backlash he received has been overwhelming.


“To all Nigerians, please forgive me. The criticism has been overwhelming,” he said.


The actor also addressed allegations, stating clearly that he did not receive money from anyone. He added that his comments were based on concerns about the current situation in the country.


“I didn’t take money from anyone, and it’s clear there’s insecurity while the government isn’t doing enough,” he said.
