The Inspector General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu, has submitted a framework for the establishment of state police in Nigeria, to the Deputy President of the Senate and Chairman of the Senate Committee on Constitution Review, Senator Barau  Jibrin.

IGP Disu was represented by the Chairman of the Nigeria Police committee on the establishment of State Police, Professor Olu Ogunsakin.
