 Set designer Mary Kate Golding found dead in Queens home as police investigate possible murder-suicide Police are investigating the deaths of television set designer Mary Kate Golding and her husband after the 34-year-old was found fatally stabbed inside her Queens home. According to the New York Police Department, officers responded shortly after midnight on Tuesday, July 21, to a residence in Astoria, where they found Golding with a fatal stab wound to her back. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Several hours later, at about 6:39 a.m., officers responded to a separate 911 call reporting an unconscious person near Astoria Park South and Shore Boulevard. Police found an unresponsive man in the park, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. An NYPD source identified the man as Joseph Azzaretto, Golding's husband.  JAMB begins 2026 Direct Entry registration


The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has announced the commencement of the 2026 Direct Entry (DE) registration.


In a statement posted on its official X account on Monday, the board said the sale of application documents began on Monday, March 2, 2026, and will end on Saturday, April 25, 2026.


JAMB advised prospective Direct Entry applicants that the registration service can only be accessed at its offices nationwide.


It wrote: “2026 Direct Entry Registration: This is to inform the prospective DE applicants that sale of application document has commenced today Monday, 2nd March 2026 and will end by Saturday, 25th April 2026.


“Please, note that this service can be accessed only at our offices nationwide.”
